[SM-Users] Casting glibc, nvidia_driver

Hello list,

when I today tried to recompile the glibc I got the message,
that glibc would not know, what architecture I was using.
After some investigations, it seems to me that the variable
"SMGL_COMPAT_ARCHS" is not or not correctly set.
Sorcery version is 1.13.7-rc2, Branch is test.
Codex was updated earlier this day.
The ISO used to install the System was "20040414" on Jun 12 2004.
May be related to the above problem: gaze version nvidia_driver
gives the following output:
Spell Grimoire Version Installed Version
----- ---------------- -----------------
nvidia_driver ia32 1.0-8762

In the DETAILS file of the nvidia_driver spell the same variable
is used.

The architecture to optimize for is set to athlon-xp in sorcery.
(What's the correct value for my system...)

Do you have any hints what I'm missing or doing wrong?

Regards,

Bj?rn

Sounds like the ISO was quite old. Do you have the spell smgl-archspecs
installed? Arch specs were moved from Sorcery into a separate spell a while
back.

The spell smgl-archspecs was installed in version 0.4. After upgrading
to version 0.6 the problem vanished.
@old ISO: Seems to me, that SMGL is to stable... :) No broken harddisk,
so why reinstall after just two and a half year?

Thank you for the solution.

Hopefully there's no need to reinstall in any case, simply doing regular
sorcery and grimoire updates (and casting updated spells) should be enough.
One install, one lifetime of updates. :)
